PLD’s Alignment with International Curriculum

At PLD (Promoting Literacy Development), we are committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based literacy programs that align with both Australian and international education standards. Our Structured Synthetic Phonics (SSP) approach is designed to support educators across diverse classroom contexts – including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and beyond.

A Comprehensive, Research-Based SSP Approach

Grounded in the Science of Reading, PLD’s SSP programs deliver positive outcomes across Literacy, Oral Language and Movement & Motor. Our holistic approach integrates education, speech pathology and occupational therapy to help every child aged 3 – 11, achieve their academic potential.

Our approach supports educators with:

  • A structured scope and sequence that builds from simple to more complex phonics
  • Systematic instruction that moves from initial code to extended code
  • Regular progress monitoring to ensure students are developing essential skills
  • Resources and support from the early years through to upper primary, enabling a consistent, whole-school literacy framework
